Export from Google Analytics 4 to Google Sheets

You can use Awesome Table Connectors to export from Google Analytics 4 to Google Sheets. Exporting to Google Sheets via Awesome Table Connectors allows you to access raw data, schedule refresh to get regular updates, and configure your output sheet's layout, among other features.

This article demonstrates how to use Awesome Table Connectors to get a list of new and total users data from the last 12 months from Google Analytics 4 and export it to Google Sheets. You can use your own Google Analytics 4 account and follow along.

Prerequisites
You have logged in with the Awesome Table Google Analytics 4 connector.
  1. Open the Select data drop-down and select what you want to export.

    We are exporting analytics data. Click Get data.

    Additional mandatory fields are displayed.
  2. Select options for the Account, Property, Date, and Metrics fields.

    note

    You must select an Account before you can select a Property. You must also select a Property before you can select Metrics.

    note

    If the options you want to select do not appear, click the refresh button.

  3. (Optional) You can group data by Time and Dimensions. We are grouping data by time. Click on the Time drop-down, then click Add.

  4. Select the value that you want to use to group data. We are grouping by Date.

  5. (Optional) Add one or more Filters and Parameters.

    1. Open the Filters or Parameters drop-down and click Add.
    2. Choose a filter or parameter, then select a corresponding value.
  6. (Optional) In the Output options, configure how your data will be inserted into your spreadsheet.

  7. (Optional) Use the Preview & Select columns feature to choose the columns you need, edit their names, and configure a sort order.

    1. Click Preview & Select columns.
      A new window opens.
    2. Make the changes you want.
    3. Click Save changes.
  8. Click Run to start your request.

    note

    If you are running a request for the first time, the Permission needed pop-up window opens.

    1. Click Sign in with Google.
    2. Select the Google account you want to use with Awesome Table.
    3. Click Allow to grant Awesome Table the required permissions.

    Awesome Table Connectors informs you if you successfully exported to Google Sheets.


You have successfully exported from Google Analytics 4 to Google Sheets. Successful requests are automatically saved and displayed in the Home screen.
