Export from Mailchimp to Google Sheets

You can use Awesome Table Connectors to export from Mailchimp to Google Sheets. Exporting to Google Sheets via Awesome Table Connectors allows you to access raw data, schedule refresh to get regular updates, and configure your output sheet's layout, among other features.

This article demonstrates how to use Awesome Table Connectors to get a list of unsubscribed contacts for a given audience in your Mailchimp account and export them to Google Sheets. You can use your own Mailchimp account and follow along.

Prerequisites
You have logged in with the Awesome Table Mailchimp connector.
  1. Open the Select data drop-down and select what you want to export.

    We are exporting contacts for a specific Mailchimp audience: Prospective Leads.

    The Select data drop-down is opened and the selected item is Get information about members in a specific Mailchimp list.
  2. (Optional) Include additional information in your export results.

    1. Open the Include metadata drop-down, then click Add.
    2. Select one or more metadata Values.

    We are including Notes about the contacts.

    The Include metadata drop-down is opened and the selected item is Include metadata.
    note

    Including metadata may add lines to the export results. For instance, including Activity adds a line for each action performed by a contact, such as unsubscribe, signup, open, or click.

  3. (Optional) Add one or more Filters.

    1. Open the Filters drop-down, then click Add.
    2. Choose a filter, then select a corresponding value.

    We are filtering on Subscriber status to export a list of contacts who Unsubscribed.

    The chosen filter is Resolved status and its corresponding value is Show open comments only.
  4. (Optional) In the Output options, configure how your data will be inserted into your spreadsheet.

  5. (Optional) Use the Preview & Select columns feature to choose the columns you need, edit their names, and configure a sort order.

    1. Click Preview & Select columns.
      A new window opens.
    2. Make the changes you want.
    3. Click Save changes.
  6. Click Run to start your request.

    note

    If you are running a request for the first time, the Permission needed pop-up window opens.

    1. Click Sign in with Google.
    2. Select the Google account you want to use with Awesome Table.
    3. Click Allow to grant Awesome Table the required permissions.

    Awesome Table Connectors informs you if you successfully exported to Google Sheets.


You have successfully exported a list of unsubscribed contacts from your Mailchimp account to Google Sheets. Successful requests are automatically saved and displayed in the Home screen.
